For an intense review over the majority of the Calculus standards in the AP Calculus AB Examination, Study Island (www.studyisland.com) will be the medium students will use to practice and master standards before the annual examination.
Overview
MATH MADNESS is a class and course contest where students will compete against each other within their classroom period. At the beginning of the competition, all students will start off at level 0. As the competition continues, students will receive points based upon the scores made on the weekly assignments created for them in the Study Island program. Students will be able to move to the next level when students earn a certain amount of points.

Weekly Set-Up
1. Teacher will assign 5 assignments to students on every Monday.
2. Student’s deadline for the weekly assignment is every Sunday by midnight.
3. Teacher will collect data from the assignments on the following Monday and adjust their personal MATH MADNESS visual accordingly.

Challenge
Every week, students will be trying to move from level to level as they accumulate points. Students will be competing for the top spot in their class. In addition, all classes will be competing for the most points earned in the entire course.
Levels
Level 1 – at least 350 pts
Level 2 – at least 725 pts
Level 3 – at least 1100 pts
Level 4 – at least 1500 pts
Level 5 – at least 1900 pts
Level 6 – at least 2325 pts
Level 7 – at least 2775 pts

Prize
Students who get in at least Level 6 will receive an award.
The top student in each class will receive an award.

The MATH MADNESS celebration day will be in January 13th.
